The market of pickup trucks will get a new member coming from Chevrolet. It will be the new 2019 Chevy Reaper, inspired by the Chevy Silverado Reaper presented in 2014. However, the new Reaper will appear with updated and improved features and new engine options. This model could be considered a serious competition to the F-150 and the Raptor models.

Exterior

The new 2019 Chevy Reaper will appear as a strong and powerful pickup with its bulky design. This robust truck is ready to get you to an off-road adventure, but it will be suitable for the city on-road ride as well. According to the information our team has got, the new Reaper should be lighter in weight. If that comes true, this model will also come with an improved performance, acceleration and fuel-economy. This muscular and stable pickup has kept many of its recognizable exterior features, but it has also undergone some distinctive changes. In the front fascia, you will notice a large square grille with horizontal protective lines. It will also get a redesigned bumper and a new exhaust system. We have spotted the LED headlights and LED daytime running lights as well as the large square fog lights. The new Reaper will be standing on larger set of wheels, probably 20-inch, wrapped in all-terrains tires. Chevrolet used Fox racing suspension system on this model, so you can expect safety and stability.

Interior

When it comes to interior of the new 2019 Chevy Reaper, we cannot surely state what you can expect, but some of the changes can be guessed. The entire truck seems smaller in dimensions and you feel like it offers less cargo space, but it will probably be just the first impression. The new Reaper should provide a spacious and comfortable cabin, perhaps too modern for a model like this. It will get newly-designed seats probably covered in leather, at least in higher trim levels. Other high-quality materials have been expected, too. The dashboard and the instrument cluster will also be upgraded and in the center console you will get a touch screen display with modern infotainment system and options such as navigation and smartphone connections.

Engine

The current Chevy Reaper model uses the 6.2-liter V-8 engine that can deliver up to 550 horsepower and 552 pound-feet of torque. However, the 2018 Reaper could get another, smaller version which would probably be the 5.3-liter V-8 engine. Such an engine could produce 450 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The new Reaper will use either six or eight-speed automatic transmission and the four-wheel drive configuration.

2019 Chevy Reaper Release Date and Price

It is perhaps too early to talk about the release date, but the new Chevy Reaper should probably hit the showrooms by mid-2019. It has been rumored that the price of a base model could start at $50,000.
