According to the information our team has got, the fans will soon have the chance to see the fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 in the market and it will appear as a 2019 model. The new 2019 Toyota RAV4 is expected to be more powerful and efficient and a hybrid version will be available as well. The crossover made its official debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show.

Exterior

When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Toyota RAV4, this powerful crossover is definitely going to hit the market with more aggressive and attractive appearance than its predecessor. The first change seen on the next-generation RAV4 includes its brand-new modular TNGA platform. This platform, found on the latest Camry and CH-R models, will only help this model improve its overall performance. Another update is expected in terms of its safety system, which will enable even better off-road capability. The new RAV4 is also going to get bigger dimensions. The crossover will seem wider and get longer wheelbase, which will significantly enhance its stability and handling, but also provide more space inside its cabin. The front end of the new RAV4 once again seems to be compared to the Camry’s. However, a distinctive large grille that this crossover will wear has obviously been inspired by the Tacoma TRD Pro. Other redesigned features include its swept-back headlights and large LED fog lights. The new RAV4 will stand on standard 19-inch wheels.

Interior

Changes and improvements can also be expected inside the 2019 Toyota RAV4. Namely, this crossover will provide a spacious cabin that will perfectly accommodate five adult passengers. It will be more functional and better equipped than the one found in the outgoing model. The fans can expect 8-way power-adjustable front seats in higher trim levels as well as an optional 8.0-inch touch-screen display. The standard 7.0-inch display will be available as standard and it will provide the latest infotainment system with features such as JBL audio system, USB ports, wireless charging, Apple Car Play and Wi-Fi. Toyota will significantly enhance its safety systems and driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, forward collision warning, automatic braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams and rear cross-traffic alert.

Engine

The base model of the 2019 Toyota RAV4 will probably keep using the current 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It delivers the output of 176 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque, but it is expected to be more powerful in the next-generation RAV4. The outgoing version is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, but Toyota might introduce a brand-new eight-speed for the upcoming model. As we have already mentioned, the hybrid version should also be available. It will combine a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor.
