As if 707 horsepower wasn’t enough, Dodge is about to outdo themselves once again with the new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This new model promises to outperform the ferocious Hellcat and snatch the coveted, ”ultimate performance car” title whilst unleashing your inner demon.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – What we know

The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will premiere at the 2017 New York International Auto Show this April where we will find out all the important details, chief among them being the performance statistics.
In a statement made at the NAIAS, Fiat Chrysler chief declined to disclose any valuable information. However, he said that: “By the time the Demon is shown, motor heads should know everything – engine, performance, pricing, etc.” Which is certainly reassuring and directly contrasting to the SRT Hellcats’ rollout.
All of this highly-anticipated information will apparently be released piece by piece on the newly opened website, precariously titled – If You Know You Know. A website created to galvanize and suspend your interest until April with a sling of promotional videos such as this one:

We here on Cars You Want will keep you up to date with all the details that are ready to be released in the coming months.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Engine and Powertrain

As for the powertrain, no details are available yet. Knowing that the Dodge supercars are powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8 engine that is capable of delivering up to 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the similar, but slightly upgraded version of the V8 under the Demons hood as well.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Release Date and Price

The new Demon will go on sale in the 2018 model year alongside the returning Hellcat and Charger. In terms of price, even if don’t know the exact details yet, it would be safe to assume that the Demons’ starting price will be somewhat on par with its contemporaries. The Hellcat is currently available at $64.000. But, we do expect the Demon to start at a slightly pricier amount than that, given the ridiculous amount of horsepower everyone is predicting.

Please keep in mind that these are only our predictions and not the official information.
