Engine
The manufacturer is boasting at speed, claiming that 2018 Toyota Tundra Diesel will be much faster and stable truck on the road. Thanks to the lightweight materials, new suspension and extreme relief in weight, Tundra should be faster. However, new Tundra is not faster only because of the lightweight materials. There are special diesel engines which provide speed and stable driving. First of them is 4.6-liter Aluminum I-Force V8 DOHC and the second one is bigger 5.7-liter V8 DOHC. Both are paired with six-speed automatic transmission and their strength should go over 300 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. There are rumors that Toyota should place petrol engine in this model in the second series.
