The fans of full-size pickup trucks won’t have to wait long to see the new Ram 1500 that has been planned to hit the market as a 2019 RAM 1500 Diesel model. This truck made its official debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show and it definitely promises a brand-new design, some mild-hybrid engine options as well as its more efficient and keenly anticipated diesel under the hood.

Exterior

When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Ram 1500 Diesel, the great news is that you should expect a brand-new design. This model will be available as a quad cab with a long bed and a crew cab with a short one. Depending on the trim level you choose, this truck will stand on 18-22-inch range of wheels. It will also be available in 12 exterior colors, including four new paints.

Interior

The 2019 Ram 1500 Diesel will provide a really modern and luxurious interior. Its cabin will be improved and better equipped that one would expect and it will be quieter due to its noise and vibration reduction systems. Also, since we have mentioned its increased length and width, you can guess that there will be plenty of space for you and your passengers. The driver will love a 12.0-inch center touch-screen display with the latest U Connect infotainment system. It will include navigation, dual-zone climate control, 19-speaker audio system, radio, USB, Wi-Fi, Apple Car Play, Android Auto and many more. Some of the safety systems and driver assist features found in the new Ram 1500 include airbags, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning.

Engine

The diesel option of the 2019 Ram 1500 Diesel hasn’t been officially confirmed, but this truck should keep using its 3.0-liter Eco Diesel under its hood. Its output is expected to increase from 240 to 260 horsepower and from 420 to 442 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
