Ever since the new 2019 Volkswagen Arteon USA made its official debut at the 2018 New York Auto Show, the fans have been expecting this sedan on the roads. Well, it seems that it won’t take too long before you see the new Arteon as a 2019 model.
Exterior
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 VW Arteon, this model will make its appearance as a four-door midsize sedan, but it will actually wear that unusual coupe-like design. This coupe-like profile reveals the fact that the new Arteon actually comes as a successor of the popular VW CC. The first impression that the fans will get while looking at this sedan is that it shows some quite bigger dimensions. Wider and longer, the new Arteon will provide more space inside its cabin, but also improve the overall handling, stability and performance. It will be available in three trim levels – SE, SEL and SEL premium, but you should also expect its R-Line Package that will come with more aggressive bumpers and offer 19 and 20-inch alloy wheels. However, the new Arteon will be standing on standard 18-inch wheels. Its aerodynamic front end will wear a wide chrome grille and attractive LED headlights. Looking at the side profile, you will notice its sloping roof and frameless windows. We can only say that you should expect a bold and eye-catching exterior when it comes to new Arteon.
Interior
Due to its bigger dimensions, that we have already mentioned, the 2019 VW Arteon will provide more spacious and comfortable interior. Its cabin will perfectly accommodate up to five passengers on its stylish and supportive seats. Besides that, the carmaker will make some serious improvements in terms of technology and safety. The driver will get a digital cockpit and a larger infotainment touch-screen with features such as Mirror Link, premium sound system, three-zone automatic climate control, Apple Car Play and Android Auto. When it comes to safety systems and driver assist features, the new Arteon will come with adaptive cruise control, airbags, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree camera system, lane-keeping assist and others.
Engine
The 2019 VW Arteon will offer a 2.0-liter inline four under its hood. This engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, will deliver the output of 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The front-wheel drive comes as standard on this model while the all-wheel drive will be available as optional. The new Arteon will also offer the choice of three modes – normal, comfort and sport thanks to its DCC adaptive chassis control.
2019 Volkswagen Arteon USA Release Date and Price
The release date of the 2019 VW Arteon should probably be expected to happen by this fall. The price details haven’t been confirmed yet.
