The thing with the modern muscle cars is in exclusivity and the best way to be exclusive is to get one of the special versions. One of these is expected to come in the next year, as 2024 Ford Mustang Boss 302. The first time we saw the Boss 302 was almost 50 years ago, in 1969. The second and the last time we saw it was in the previous-generation model, in 2012 and 2013 models. Both times, this version was characterized by plenty of unique details, both in terms of visual appearance and upgrade mechanics. The new 2024 Ford Mustang Boss 302 shouldn’t be an exception.
Pros
- Upgraded styling and performances
- Powerful V8 engine
- Long list of standard equipment
- Exclusive “Boss 302” price
Cons
- Tight rear seats
- High price tag
Exterior
We expect a lot from the 2024 Ford Mustang Boss 302, in many aspects. First of all, we expect to see a lot of mechanical upgrades. The new version should come with a completely new chassis setup, which includes new suspension, brakes and other kinds of upgrades. In terms of styling, expect a plethora of interesting details as well. Just like the previous version, it will definitely sit a little bit lower, probably for about 0.5 inches. Unique wheels design, as well as new graphics, seem like certain things. The previous model also featured a so-called aero package, which included unique spoilers, splitters, diffuser etc. So, we should see something similar in the new version as well.
Interior
You’ve probably already realized that this model will stand somewhere between the GT and GT350 models. Still, it will probably go in a completely different direction when it comes to the interior design. Of course, it will feature lots of track-inspired details, but definitely won’t sacrifice comfort in order to save a few pounds and provide race-ready performance. Expect pa retty generous list of standard equiment. Still, don’t count on more comfort compared to base Mustangs, especially on the rear bench, which is significantly tighter compared to rest of the pony cars in the offer, Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger.
Engine
The 2024 Ford Mustang Boss 302 should with a well-known Coyote. This 5.0-liter V8 engine was under the hood of the previous Boss 302 version, as well as in the more basic GT model. Of course, the new generation brings improvements in terms of power as well. The GT is good for about 460 hp. On the other side, the GT350 has a max output of 526 horsepower, so the new 2024 Ford Mustang Boss 302 should slot somewhere in between. Something like 490 hp sounds like a perfect measure.
