The 2017 Qoros 9 Q-Lectriq Concept is the upcoming electric sport sedan concept from the Shanghai based car company that specializes in design, development and production of high quality vehicles under the Qoros marque. The new 9 Q-Lectriq is scheduled to appear at this year’s Shanghai auto show, but before its grand reveal, the Chinease car company decided to give us a little teaser of what’s to come with some inconspicuous new images of the upcoming concept.

Qoros is actually yet to officially announce the new 2017 Qoros 9 Q-Lectriq Concept. But, as CarNewsChina reports, the Chinese-Israeli car company is working in unison with the Swedish supercar developers, Koenigsegg, that is said to be heavily involved in the production efforts. This hardly comes as a surprise since the two companies have collaborated before on a number of different projects, the most famous one being the development of the model that uses the “camless” design from the Koenigsegg subdivision, FreeValve. Koenigsegg’s current task in the production of this new concept is not clear at this time, but it is suspected that they might have something to do with the carbon fiber construction, which is hinted in the teaser images.

Engine and Powertrain
There isn’t much information on what exactly will be powering this new all electric concept. But one things for sure, it won’t be an internal combustion system. Instead, Qoros has envisioned an entirely electric powertrain which will reportedly offer a range of over 300 miles, as well as a zero to 60 mph time of just 3.0 seconds. Additionally, these new teaser shots reveal something that can be best described as a solar panel roof.

Design
From what is revealed in these teaser images, the new Qoros 9 Q-Lectriq Concept will come with a somewhat stocky, fastback design. Moreover, the 9 Q-Lectriq appears to be a four-seater with four separate seats. Not much else can be deciphered from the purposely obscured teaser images, but we won’t have to wait much longer since the real deal debuts later this month at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show where some light will undoubtedly be shed on all of the design details.

The 2017 Qoros 9 Q-Lectriq Concept wll make its debut at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, which opens its doors April 19th. There, it will be showcased only as a concept and its highly unlikely that we will see a production model anytime soon.
