Although the Acura TLX has received some major updates and refreshments for the year 2018, it seems that that this model has already been on its way to hit the market in 2019 Acura TLX. You shouldn’t expect anything revolutionary to happen, but the new TLX will offer two engine options and some slightly redesigned features.
Exterior
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Acura TLX, we have already mentioned that all those major changes have taken place on the 2018 model. However, the new TLX will also try to appear more appealing to its buyers and undergo some significant redesign. According to the information we have got, this model is going to be available with two packages of equipment. The new TLX will definitely look sportier and more aggressive, especially in the front fascia. You will notice its new three-dimensional grille and its LED headlights. The Advanced package will even come with rain-sensing wipers. Looking at the side profile, the new TLX will get larger fenders and 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear part of the vehicle will be redesigned as well and you will also find some larger exhaust tips. This mid-size luxury sedan will be available in some new exterior colors and get plenty of dark exterior details.
Interior
The two packages will include some significant improvements inside this sedan as well. Namely, the interior of the 2019 Acura TLX will provide sportier front seats that will offer options such as heating and ventilation. The driver’s seat will be power-adjustable. The driver will get a heated sport steering wheel as well as a color display in the instrument cluster. The center console will reveal a dual-touch-screen display with the latest infotainment system and features such as navigation, 10-speaker sound system, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, wireless charging and keyless entry. The new TLX will also provide its LED ambient lighting for more pleasure and ultimate comfort during the ride. Some of the advanced safety systems and driver assist features that this luxury sedan will get include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, forward collision warning, a surround-view camera system, automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning.
Engine
As we have already mentioned in the intro, two engine options will be available under the hood of the 2019 Acura TLX. The base model will come with a 2.4-liter I4 that delivers 206 horsepower. This engine will be mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and get a front-wheel drive. The other option will use a 3.5-liter V6 that hits 290 horsepower. It will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and you will be able to choose either front or all-wheel drive.
2019 Acura TLX Release Date and Price
The 2019 Acura TLX is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2019, probably in April. Its price should start around $33,965 before options.
