2019 Audi R8 is a new luxury version of the sporty car that offers improved V10 turbocharged engine with many novelties in terms of design and cabin equipment. As this is almost the first car which will have this strong engine, it will be interesting to watch how the buyers will accept it in the future.
Exterior
2019 Audi R8 is not much changed from the last model, even the manufacturer has promised changes in that term, too. There is the same recognizable rhomboidal grille framed with chrome and with famous “rings” on the bottom of the hood. Thin front lights are sharpened than before and include LED line on the bottom as daily lights. Below them are two wide air intakes with grids. The rear end is much shorter and represents the end of the sloped roof. The feeling of sportiness provides wide spoiler on the truck door. The car lies on 20-inch tires and has metallic protection on the low bottom.
Interior
There are many interesting devices inside of 2019 Audi R8, and some of them are seen in the cars for the first time. One of them is a special laser that estimates the density of traffic and provides the best ways for escaping traffic crowd. This information, together with all other information is provided on MMI screen on the dashboard, which is placed below the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen. Thanks to redesigned buttons and air vents it is much easier to control of air condition and other functions and there are adjustable and perfectly shaped seats, with improved lumbar support.
Engine
There is high interest among buyers and manufacturers for turbocharged engines. That is not strange, if we know their efficiency and strength, with visible increases in speed and acceleration. For 2019 Audi R8 the manufacturer has chosen 5.2-liter V10 as an improved version of the turbocharged engine, which provides the highest speed and strength. Speaking about the strength, the manufacturer claim that this engine has 540 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, with an optional stronger version that provides 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The speed of 60 mph first engine increases for 3.5 seconds while the second one for 3.2 seconds. Finally, fuel economy is measured at 14/22 mpg.
2019 Audi R8 Release Date and Price
2019 Audi R8 will be able to buy during this year for the basic price of $165,000 which could grow up to $192,000. The only car that could be taken as a competitor to this model is the only car that has V10 engine and that is Lamborghini Hurricane.
