If you like mini-vans, you will like 2019 Ford Flex even more! That is our conclusion after we saw a new version of this very popular vehicle for the next year. Flex has always been a classical mini-van alternative, meaning that it provides spacious cabin and cargo space, and strong engine, but wrapped in the modernly designed truck with soft-edged on the ends. This time it is even improved, mostly thanks to the modern details and perfectly sized bumpers.
Exterior
As we said, everything in 2019 Ford Flex is perfectly compound for modernity and attractiveness. Looking from the front it has wide and long gridded grille with incorporated lights in the shape of the grille and made in shape of the letter C. There is also a wide air intake on the bottom. The rear end is squared as before, supported by flat roof and doors, but thanks to the new platform this Flex is more aerodynamic than before. As if that is not enough, there are two optional large wheels on offer, 17-inch, and 20-inch, so the car could be even higher.
Interior
There is very large and comfortable cabin in 2019 Ford Flex, expectedly spacious for the mini-van like Flex. It has perfectly wide three row of the seats with a lot of space for taller passengers even in the third row. Depending on the trim version it could have equipment like dual-zone climate control, Wi-Fi connection, navigation, and Ford’s SYNC 3 system. For extra cargo space, there is a one-hand folding function in the third row and the car is equipped with several airbags.
Engine
According to information we have, 2019 Ford Flex should have few engine versions under the hood. First and a base option (and the most likely) is 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine with 300 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Besides that, there could be offered a 2.7-liter Eco Boost V6 petrol unit with at least 270 horsepower. Whatever engine is, it will be paired with the six-speed automatic transmission which is the only transmission that Ford puts in vehicles like Flex.
2019 Ford Flex Release Date and Price
Even though 2019 Ford Flex offers many novelties and very attractive features, the manufacturer still does not share the information about releasing date. We are sure that it could be by the end of the year. Base price is around $31,000, which is similar to last year model.
