2019 Jeep Gladiator is a new model made in this factory, but on the base of known and highly popular truck Wrangler, that is withdrawn before. As a part of Fiat-Chrysler group, new Gladiator should have all interesting features of large trucks, but those who are known for their rough design and very wide field of usage.
Exterior
As we said, 2019 Jeep Gladiator will be made on the platform for Wrangler, so this truck will most likely look like that truck. However, it will have few changes and additions in order to change our opinion about this truck. Looking from the front end it has almost the same design as Wrangler, with body painted mesh grille and rounded lights. Below them is a metallic addition for hook and equipment, while the top of the grille is covered with a three-piece hood. The rear end should be flat and simple as on heavy-load trucks, with slightly redesigned lights. Being a car for work primarily, it is made of metal with aluminum panels and silicone that is used in the truck for protection.
Interior
2019 Jeep Gladiator has comfortable but small cabin made for two people and optional space for making the second row of seats. However, that space is not wide enough for an average passenger but could be a useful space for unexpected passengers. Together with wide dashboard comes large touchscreen and great infotainment system that we have not used to see in a metallic truck. There is a heating option for the seats and heating of the mirrors, together with many interesting additions as a part of the infotainment system.
Engine
It is expected that 2019 Jeep Gladiator will have the same engine as Wrangles, so the base model could have 2.0-liter petrol unit with 160 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. However, that is not much strong for a truck and this size of the car, so in order to be more competitive with famous manufacturers like Chevrolet or Ford there could be found a stronger version with 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine and 225 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and together with that it could be equipped with brand new 2.0-liter Hurricane engine, too. Other information is not known by now, including top speed and acceleration time.
2019 Jeep Gladiator Release Date and Price
Aiming to be a competitor to Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500, 2019 Jeep Gladiator will have a competitive price of only $29,000 for the base model. That should attract new buyers to this truck that is for sure.
