Buyers will be happy to know that new 2019 Subaru Forester is planned to be revealed very soon, maybe at the end of 2018, with many improvements and changes in design. However, all we know for now is seen on last test driving, when the manufacturer has shown new model and possible changes in design. As far we know, new Forester will be significantly changed in term of design, engine strength and size of the car, but many details are used in other models that Subaru is planning to show in years to come.
Exterior
New 2019 Subaru Forester is made to have similarities with new Ascent; so many things should be connected with it. It will be a three-row, seven seats SUV with many modern details. As we saw in spy photos, there is longer rear end with a covered truck and higher positioned roof. The new modular platform is already used on 2018 Crosstrek that showed many improves in terms of design together noise and vibration reduction. The front end is simple and rounded with gridded grille and modernly designed front lights. the flat hood covers grille as on the current model but also has changed details on the hood. It is bigger than the current model, different from Crosstrek, so it will be a unique but recognizable model.
Interior
Engine
Even though there will be more than one version of 2019 Subaru Forester, including a sporty one, we know that base model will get 2.0-liter four-in-line petrol unit with 250 horsepower. As the manufacturer announced, Forester will be offered as STI model, too, together with an upgraded version of current XT Forester. It is not known anything about engine strength and fuel consumption, but it is for sure that thanks to the changed design and improved materials it will have low noise and vibration in the cabin. There is an option with a hybrid engine, too.
2019 Subaru Forester Release Date and Price
As we said, new model 2019 Subaru Forester should be on the market at the end of 2018 so do not expect to see it on auto salons before that. We have reasons to believe that new Forester will be a very interesting model, as engineers used some knowledge that they already proved on Volkswagen Tiguan and Honda CR-V for making it. However, it is for sure that competitors of this Forester will be Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Rogue and Toyota RAV4, so it will not be easy to beat them.
