Considering its age, the 2023 Buick Enclave should get too many novelties. The new generation of this mid-size luxury crossover came last year. So, the 2023-year model will represent the third year of the current generation, which seems too early for some bigger modification. Most likely, we are about to see minor changes only, things like new colors and new standard features. Other than that, the 2023 Enclave should continue in the same way, featuring familiar exterior and interior design, as well as the engine lineup.
- Long list of standard features
- Spacious cabin
- Smooth and comfortable ride
- Not as refined as some competitors
- High price tag
The current model has been redesigned a year ago. It came with a completely new look, which seems far more stylish compared to the previous generation. Considering this recent arrival, it seems pretty much certain that 2020 Buick Enclave won’t feature bigger changes. The overall design will remain unchanged. It will continue to ride on a familiar C1xx platform and to feature the same styling. One of the benefits of this platform is a pretty good towing capacity, which with the optional towing package goes up to 5.000 pounds. The biggest novelty will probably be an addition of new color options. Other than that, things will remain the same.
The things with this crossover is that it walks on a fine line between premium and mainstream segment. Therefore, it competes in both classes. For example, it is more luxurious than Toyota Highlander, but also cheaper than Lexus RX. Base cabin characteristics, this is a classic three-row crossover, which offers lots of space and pretty solid materials quality. Also, there is a very long list of standard equipment. Even the base model comes with things like LED headlights, 3-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, touchscreen interface, rearview camera, satellite radio etc. On the other side, in top trim levels you can count even on things like leather seats, parking sensors, low-speed forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection and lane departure warning and intervention, heated and ventilated seats, a sunroof and much more.
The engine is probably the thing that keeps this crossover a little bit closer to the mainstream segment. It comes witha familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine, which for this occasion delivers around 300 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Such amount of power is very respectable, but the engine lack in terms of refinement, compared to an average powertrain in a premium mid-size crossover. Fuel economy also isn’t on some spectacular level. It goes around 18 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway.
2020 Buick Enclave Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes to come for the next year, the 2023 Buick Enclave should arrive late in the next year. The price should also remain in the same range, which goes between $40,000 and $56,000, roughly.
