GM prepares a complete redesign for its famous mid-size luxury sedan. Besides a completely new design, we will see a new name as well. The company is changing its naming policy. So, instead of 2024 Cadillac CTS V Sedan, we will see a model called CT5 V Sedan. We count on lots of new design solutions, new technologies and a new, even more, spectacular engine. The base version will have premiere already in early 2019, while this version should come by the end of next year.

Pros

  • Tons of power
  • Great handling
  • Amazing level of luxury

Cons

  • Poor fuel economy
  • Tight rear seats

Exterior

As you may presume, the new 2024 Cadillac CTS V Sedan, or CT5 V, will be heavily based on the standard model. The new generation of this mid-size luxury sedan is coming next year and we expect lots of interesting novelties. In terms of the mechanics, the new model will ride on a new version of the Alpha platform, which is exclusively used for GM’s sports and luxury cars. It offers either RWD or AWD layout and comes with significant improvements in efficiency, compared to the original Alpha platform. Of course, count on a completely new styling. Without any doubt, the new model will adopt the brand’s latest design language, so count on many similarities with the bigger CT6 model.

Interior

Just like the exterior, the interior design will be completely new as well. We count on a completely new layout, which will raise the pole even higher when it comes to luxury. Therefore, count on hi-end materials and pretty much everything that Cadillac has to offer when it comes to tech features. This will be a hi-performance version of the new model, so count on few more upgrades as well. This refers both to styling and more standard equipment.

Engine

This aspect of 2024 Cadillac CTS V Sedan is a little bit intriguing at the moment. The current model uses a large 6.2-liter Supercharged V8, the same one that could be found under Chevy Corvette. On the other side, Cadillac has developed a new 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8, which comes with some very impressive numbers. Many experts suggest this engine for a new CT5 V. It delivers stupendous 131 hp per liter, so a max output goes all away up to 550 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. However, this is still 100-hp less compared to the current version and we are pretty sure that Cadillac won’t gamble, especially if we consider that this segment if full of amazing performances, such as BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E-Class AMG, Lexus GS F etc.

2020 Cadillac CTS V Sedan Release Date and Price

Once the base version arrives, we can expect this hi-performer to come soon after. It should go between $85,000 and $90,000.
