The Japanese manufacturer is in a big process of renewing its complete lineup and one of the models that recently came is the new generation of this compact SUV. It had a premiere earlier in the year and finally came to the market a few weeks ago. Therefore, we don’t expect too many changes on the 2024 Subaru Forester, since it will represent the second production year of the new, fifth generation. Still, a big novelty will come under the hood, where we expect to finally see a new turbo inline-four engine in the offer.

Exterior

There is no any doubt that the 2024 Subaru Forester will come with identical exterior design as the current 2019 year model. The recent redesign has brought a lot of novelties and the most important is a new Subaru Global Platform. This super-modular architecture is planned to underprintentire Subaru lineup and some of its main characteristics are weight reduction,new chassis setup and improved version of the company’s famous AWD system. The new generations get slightly bigger, which is highly beneficial on the inside.On the other side, aesthetics seem kinda familiar. There is Subaru’s well-known conservative approach, which in this case brings a bit of a sharper approach on both ends, while the overall shape definitely remains the same. All in all, not enough reasons for 2024 Subaru Forester to change.

Interior

This part of the SUV suffered more. The new generation features a cabin that looks far more upscale than before. You will easily notice a modern dashboard design, which is full of attractive lines and look smiles better than the previous model. This improvement will make the new model far more competitive with crossovers like Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Toyota Rav4 etc. in terms of interior design. Of course, you can once again count on a spectacular list of safety systems, as well as on the company’s new Driver Focus systems, which puts practicality on a completely new level. As we already mentioned, the new model also gets bigger, so you can count on more legroom and cargo volume.

Engine

The new model came with a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder atmospheric engine that delivers 185 horsepower. This definitely isn’t a spectacular amount of power but don’t worry. A new turbo inline-four is coming for the 2024 Subaru Forester. It is the company’s new 2.4-liter unit that features amazing efficiency and delivers a total amount of 260 horsepower and280 pound-feet of torque. Of course, both engines with come with a CVT, which sends power to all wheels.
