2018 Mitsubishi Montero is a name which is not used in every country in the world. People from Europe will easily recall the famous Pajero jeep which this manufacturer has made during 80’s and 90’s, while buyers in the UK could only say something about Mitsubishi Shogun, how the manufacturer named this model for their market. The first model has been released in 1983, and continually being sold in Europe until now, but people in America could not be able to buy it after 2006 when the manufacturer simply stopped with producing of it. Now the time is for great coming back.

Exterior

Changing of the platform has been a smart step for 2018 Mitsubishi Montero, which we expected after 2014 Geneva Motor Show when the model has firstly been showed. However, GG-PHEV concept now used in this model is perfect for a combination of lightweight materials and larger towing capacity, which the model now represents. The design has not been changed much in exterior appearance. The recognizable front end has chromatic wide grids with thin air intake below them, all rounded to incorporate under the hood line. Thin LED lights are perfectly placed under the hood, and there are small rounded fog lights below them. The rear end is rounded and curved, with irregularly shaped rear lights, positioned vertically.

Interior

Presuming off-road usage of 2018 Mitsubishi Montero, we were not expected that much comfortable cabin with so many devices and helpers in driver’s entertainment. The modernly designed cabin has a wide dashboard, with chromatic details on the steering wheel and doors, slightly slanted for more driver’s space. A 7-inch touchscreen is perfectly positioned to not interrupt the driver during driving, and there are few buttons and commands below it. We are sure that manufacturer has prepared the best in terms of technology, as on any other car from their lines.

Engine

The engines in 2018 Mitsubishi Montero are planned to be offered for both drivers category, as for classic drivers as well for environments protectionist. So, the first engine is classic 6-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the second one is four-cylinder petrol engine in combination with an electric motor. The hybrid engine is capable of driving for 20 miles per charging and represents a perfect driving option for fuel savings.

2018 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Release Date and Price

The price of 2018 Mitsubishi Montero should be around $50,000 for the base model in US and Japan, where it will be offered, but with many improvements and additions, it could be much higher.
