2018 Jeep Gladiator is a new version of the full-size truck from Jeep factory. Since the first this model has been made in 1962 and 1963, many version has been released, and every time better and modern version of them. Not only that we expect many improvements in term of design, equipment and engine performances, but the manufacturer has promised extended wheelbase and more height. Exterior
Although there are many changes in exterior design, 2018 Jeep Gladiator still has traditional look with some modern details. The whole car is squared as always, with recognizable rounded lights and sharp edges on bumpers and sides of the car. Recognizable mesh front end stands above plastic protection under the extended hood over the front grille. The truck has simple sides and rear lights. Over the cabin is soft roof made of quality materials, and the cabin is also squared with sharp edges. Although its purpose is not to be used for military, the shape and design could remind on military trucks, especially to doors and skid plates.
Interior
As we expected, the cabin in 2018 Jeep Gladiator is rough and simple, with most commands and buttons used manually. However, there is some high-technology which manufacturer usually puts in its vehicles. We do not expect a high level of luxury and elegance, as well as comfort, but it is not squared truck inside regardless. If you want to become an owner of this truck, be prepared for most of the functions controlled readily, like steering wheel, brakes, and suspension.
Engine
The engine which manufacturer has put in 2018 Jeep Gladiator is maybe the most interesting information about this truck. However, there are no such surprises, it is the same model as on previous models, and that is 2.8-liter diesel engine with 163 horsepower and 296 pound-feet of torque. The base model should be paired with six-speed manual transmission, but there will be optional an eight-speed transmission on demand.

For the price of 2018 Jeep Gladiator has not been shared yet, so we can only predict that it will not go over the prices of current model and competitors. Speaking about competitors, the main ones are Honda Ridgeline, Hyundai Santa Cruz, and Ford Ranger. They are among the highest in the class, so it will be interesting to see how Gladiator will keep the step with them.
