The Bavarian carmaker is one of the world’s most famous sports carmaker, but the interesting thing about it is that we haven’t seen too many supercars through its rich history. Currently, there is the i8 model, but it comes with electrified powertrain and seems to complicated to be considered as a genuine supercar. Therefore, the company wants to offer something more common, something that won’t divide traditional BMW lovers. That should be an all-new 2024 BMW M9. A concept version of this model has been presented some time ago and it looks like it is perfect time to see it on the road.
Pros
- Attractive styling
- Powerful V8 or V12 engine
- Hi-end interior
Cons
- Still waits for the official confirmation
Exterior
In terms of the exterior design, we expect that the 2024 BMW M9 will stick closely to the concept. That would mean a super-sharp styling approach, with plenty of muscles and sharp edges. Of course, the front end will feature recognizable kindle grille, which will come in a much different manner in this case. That would mean slightly different shape and probably a less prominent position. Rest of the car will be characterized primarily by angular shape and plenty of muscles. You can look at it as some kind of a mixture between racing and muscle car.
Interior
The 2024 BMW M9 will have a lot of rivals to compete with. At the first place, those are model from arch-rivals, such as Audi R8 and Mercedes-Benz GT etc. These models are characterized not only by amazing performances but by super-luxurious cabins as well. So, we expect nothing less from the 2024 BMW M9. Once again, it should stick closely to the concept, which features a nice mixture of minimalism and futurism. Of course, we count on hi-end materials, including some wood and aluminum surfaces, as well as the latest tech features.
Engine
All supercars feature amazing aesthetics, superb interior quality, and similar things. However, performances are the thing that makes them stand out. Therefore, we have no doubt that the 2024 BMW M9 will come with plenty of power. The first engine that comes to mind is a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, which is good for about 590 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This output is for the M6 model, so keep in mind that some power boost is quite possible. The Bavarian carmaker could make things even more exciting with the huge 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, which can be found in the 7 Series. This one delivers around 610 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque and, once again, additional boost is possible.
2020 BMW M9 Release Date and Price
Though some reports suggest 2024 BMW M9’s arrival already in the next year, the fact is that we are still waiting for the official confirmation. If it arrives, it will definitely be expensive. Some reports suggest starting price around 120.000, but it won’t be surprised if the tag goes all away up to $150,000 for base models.
