If you are looking for a small hybrid car, the Volt seems like a perfect choice. Attractive price, good combined fuel economy, and amazing all-electric range are things you can count on. Of course, there are few drawbacks as well, especially on the inside, where this car looks a little bit cheap and also doesn’t feature too much space on the rear bench. The current generation is on the market since 2015, which indicate that 2024 Chevrolet Volt could come with a couple of interesting updates. We count on a few aesthetical improvements, as well as on a better interior quality and more standard equipment. Rest of the car should continue in the same way.

 Pros

  • Amazing all-electric range
  • Good mpg ratings
  • Smooth ride

Cons

  • Cheap-looking dashboard
  • Tight rear seats and cargo area

Exterior

This plug-in hybrid car gets updates pretty much every year.We recently saw an update that has brought few interesting and useful features such as on-board charger, new infotainment system, and power seats. For the next year, we expect GM to put the focus on visual appearance. We should see some styling revisions, primarily at front. This would mean some rework of areas like front fascia, bumper, grille etc. Along with new parts, count on more color options and new wheels designs. On the other side, the mechanical aspect should remain the same.

Interior

Hybrid cars are more expensive than those with internal-combustion engines. In order to provide competitive price, carmakers usually sacrifice interior quality. GM is not an exception. Therefore, you can find a lot of cheap-looking plastics inside this car, though the overall quality seems okay. In any case, it definitely can’t compete with conventional compact cars in terms of interior quality, neither with hybrids like Hyundai Ioniq. Another drawback are pretty tight rear seats. The upcoming update will probably bring new color schemes but don’t count on anything more, except probably a few more standard features. In terms of tech goodies.

Engine

We definitely won’t see changes in this aspect, since it is actually the strongest point of this car. The 2024 Chevrolet Volt will continue with a familiar system that consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, electric motor and battery pack. You can count on a total output that goes around 150horsepower. Seems like a nice amount of power, but what really makes this car special is fuel economy and range. In a hybrid mode, you can count on 42 MPG in a combined ride, as well as 106 MPGe in all-electric mode. The all-electric range is pretty amazing and goes around 53 miles.

2020 Chevrolet Volt Release Date and Price

These updates usually mean arrivals that are earlier than usual. We can expect the same from the 2024 Chevrolet Volt, which will probably come in the third quarter of the next year. Base price should remain the same, around $33,500.
