According to some recent information and the spy photos of a prototype being tested, it seems that the popular crossover GMC Acadia has been on its way to hit the market as a 2024 GMC Acadia model and receive a mid-cycle refresh.

Exterior

The 2024 GMC Acadia is going to hit the market as a five-door midsize crossover that will show no major or revolutionary redesign, but rather some minor changes and refreshments in terms of exterior. Although the crossover has been wearing a heavy camouflage, it can be noticed that it shows some features inspired by its cousins GMC Terrain and GMC Sierra, especially in the front fascia. For instance, the fans should probably expect its LED headlamps and larger air intake. Perhaps, the grille will show some distinctive redesign as well. On the other hand, in the back part of the new Acadia, you will be able to notice its redesigned LED taillights, rectangular exhaust pipes and a reworked bumper. The new Acadia should keep riding on its current GM’s C1 platform, but it might show smaller dimensions as well as some weight reduction.

Interior

The heavy camouflage couldn’t quite allow the spy photos to catch the interior that the new 2024 GMC Acadia will reveal. Although little is known at the moment, we believe that some minor changes and upgrades will be noticed inside its cabin as well. The crossover will use some high-quality materials and improve the overall comfort. Also, the updates can be expected in terms of technology so the driver can expect a larger touch-screen with the latest IntelliLink infotainment system. It will provide some of the latest high-tech features and connectivity options such as automatic climate control, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple Car Play and Android Auto. When it comes to safety, this crossover will provide the necessary advanced safety systems and driver assist features, standard and optional. Some of them include a surround view camera, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking and rear cross-traffic alert.

Engine

Those two engine choices found under the hood of the outgoing GMC Acadia probably won’t change when it comes to 2024 model. A standard option would use a 2.5-liter inline-four that delivers the output of 194 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque while an optional would come with a 3.5-liter V6 that hits 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. When it comes to innovations, a brand-new nine-speed automatic transmission will replace the outgoing six-speed automatic. The new transmission will be the result of the collaboration with Ford.
