Not so long ago, exotic carmakers and SUV models seemed like something pretty incompatible. These days, we can find several crossovers designed and made by renowned carmakers that were known for amazing sports and luxury cars in the past. Maserati was the first to come, with its Levante model. Many of us were skeptical at the time this model was launched and we were wrong. Nowadays, this is by far the company’s most successful model and the 2024 Maserati Levante SUV is about to continue in the same way. We don’t count on bigger changes, so it will continue to deliver spectacular performances.

Pros

  • Amazing palette of engines
  • Superior handling
  • Comfortable ride

Cons

  • Some cabin materials look cheap
  • Small cargo area

Exterior

In terms of base design characteristics, the Levante is built on the same architecture as the legendary Quattroporte. Therefore, it’s not strange that this is probably the most agile crossover in the class. Such design guarantees spectacular handling and overall driving characteristics. Moreover, this is a pretty stylish SUV. It adopts the brand’s newest design language and features the recognizable grille shape. On the other side, headlights are a little bit sharper than we used to this manufacturer. The overall shape is pretty sleek and delivers not just plenty of styles, but excellent aerodynamics as well. Considering that this SUV is on the market for a little bit more than two years, we don’t count on any important change on the 2024 Maserati Levante SUV.

Interior

This is definitely the weakest point of the Levant. To make it clear, the cabin definitely looks great but the fact is that most mid-size luxury crossover features better cabins in terms of the quality and interior space. In this one, some areas feature surprisingly cheap materials, which belong more to the mainstream segment. Still, the overall impression is pretty good, especially if we consider that there is plenty of style inside this SUV. Despite being a crossover, this is still a performance vehicle, so don’t count on too much legroom in the second row. The cargo area is pretty small as well.

Engines

We finally came to the most exciting aspect of this crossover. Thanks to excellent handling and engines sourced from Ferrari, 2024 Maserati Levante SUV will continue to be a true class-leader in terms of performances, along with the Porsche Cayenne. Base models feature a 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers around 345 horsepower. The same engine is available in a version with 425 hp. Also, there is a well-known 3.8-liter V8, which comes in two output versions too, with either 550 or 590 horsepower. You can also find a diesel version on some markets. This one uses a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with around 275 horsepower.

2020 Maserati Levante SUV Release Date and Price

There are no bigger changes to come with the 2024 Maserati Levante SUV, so we expect its arrival in usual time. Price should also remain the same, in a range between $76,000 and $170,000.
