2019 Honda CRV represents a continuation of the popular model that has always been on the top of the list of great sold SUVs on the market. Since the first model has been made, in 1996, it has not stopped to be popular and highly wanted among buyers. It recorded slight decreasing in selling during 2008, but after that, it’s selling only grows. The current version is actually the fifth generation of the model, released in 2016, with many redesigning and changes to be more like Civic, mostly in terms of materials used for it. However, we are not sure in this version yet, but all said that we should expect this model this year.

Exterior

As the last model undergone many changes and became lightweight although it is made 50% of steel, there are no expected changes in 2019 Honda CRV worthy of mentioning. Rumors said that it could be wider and longer than the previous model, with sportier and more aggressive shape and look than before. As anything in this article is not confirmed yet, we cannot confirm this information either.

Interior

There are no many surprises about the interior of 2019 Honda CRV. It should be well equipped and comfortable, as the last ones, with few innovations and improvements. Higher trims could get quality materials as well as leather on the seats.

Engine

It is highly expected that 2019 Honda CRV will get two engines in this version. First of them is 1.5-liter four-cylinder while the other one is 2.4-liter petrol unit. However, there are high chances that the manufacturer is considering of placing a hybrid engine under the hood of this car and in that case, it could be 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors. The transmission should be the same as on the current model, and that is six-speed manual and CVT transmission, while models come as front-wheel driving cars and only higher trims will be able to get the all-wheel driving system.

2019 Honda CRV Release Date and Price

As we said, 2019 Honda CRV is made to be closest to new Civic, but also to be more competitive with Accord and other great models like Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4, Chevrolet Equinox, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester and Mazda CX-5. It is hard to say which of them will be on the top of the list, as all of them are great in their classes. However, for the price of $25,000 for the base model and only $33,000 for the highest trim it could reach a wide group of buyers.
