Although we have seen some recent minor refreshments in 2018, the 2019 Toyota Sienna has already been planned to hit the market soon. However, it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether this will be its major redesign that leads to a new generation or it will actually be the last model before the carmaker discontinues it from the market. To be honest, something serious has to be done with this minivan in order to stay competitive nowadays when crossovers are taking over the market.
The exterior design of the 2019 Toyota Sienna should bring some distinctive changes and updates in order to become more appealing to its buyers. According to the information we have got, the new Sienna should appear more aggressive and wear some bolder styling. Although known as a functional family minivan, the Sienna is also expected to look sportier. The front end of this vehicle should wear a bigger trapezoidal grille and redesigned headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Looking at the side profile, the new Sienna will probably stand on standard 17-inch alloy wheels, but this will depend on which of its several trim levels you choose. It has also been said that this attractive and bold minivan will be offered in three color choices.
Inside the 2019 Toyota Sienna, the fans will find three rows of seats that should accommodate seven passengers. Its cabin should be updated in terms of comfort, materials, technology and safety. In higher trim levels, you will find leather on the seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The steering wheel as well as the front seats will be heated. When it comes to high-tech features, the new Sienna will provide a 7.0-inch infotainment touch-screen that offers features such as satellite radio, navigation, premium audio system, CD player, MP3 player, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection, USB ports and possibly, Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The Sienna will also be equipped with the latest Safety Sense Package that includes systems and features such as adaptive cruise control, airbags, automatic emergency braking, high beams, lane-departure warning, traction and stability control, traffic sign recognition and others.
It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but things probably won’t change under the hood of the 2019 Toyota Sienna. The minivan should keep using its current 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It should also remain one of the most fuel efficient models in its class. A hybrid version has also been speculated and expected, but we are waiting for more information and output numbers at the moment.
